UAScend Aerial Solutions case study

Stunning aerial footage and a growing client list, but a website that didn't do the work justice or convert interest into enquiries.

01 Strategy

Let the footage sell, and make the next step obvious.

UAScend Aerial Solutions is a drone business based in Townsville, serving clients across Queensland. It had stunning aerial footage and a growing client list, but a website that didn't do the work justice or turn interest into enquiries.

The strategy was to showcase the footage properly and organise the site around the jobs clients need done, making it easy for councils, builders and event organisers to get in touch. A drone provider is often chosen by someone comparing several options for a project, so clarity about services and coverage matters as much as the visuals.

02 Research

What project teams look for in a drone provider.

  • Buyers search by job, not by "drone": construction progress monitoring, site mapping, roof inspection, solar inspection, tower inspection.
  • Project teams need consistency. For progress monitoring, the same angles and heights every visit make the comparisons useful.
  • Councils and larger clients often need formal documents, like a capability statement for tenders.
  • Location still matters for a business that travels. Being clearly Townsville based, while serving Queensland wide, answers the "can you get here" question.

03 Execution

Organised around the work.

  • A homepage titled "Drone Services Townsville", with the phone number, location and ABN visible.
  • Service pages including construction and development monitoring, site mapping and survey data, business marketing visuals, telecommunications tower inspections, event aerial coverage, insurance assessment imagery, asset, roof and solar inspection, site safety and compliance audits, property pre-purchase views, and real estate marketing.
  • Repeatable progress monitoring explained plainly: consistent flight paths, camera positions, heights and angles.
  • Photo and video portfolios that let the footage do the talking.
  • A drone tender capability statement and a Queensland service region page for larger clients.
  • "Request a Consultation" calls to action next to every service.

04 Takeaways

What other specialist service businesses can borrow.

  • Name the job, not the tool. People search for "roof inspection" or "site mapping", not "drone". Lead with the outcome the client is paying for.
  • Give larger buyers what they need to say yes. Capability statements, service regions and clear contact paths make you easy to shortlist.
  • Show the work at its best. For a visual business, a fast, well organised portfolio does the selling.
  • State where you're based and how far you travel. "Based in Townsville, serving Queensland wide" answers the first question before it's asked.
  • Put a call to action next to every service, so interest becomes a conversation at the moment it appears.
  • Keep the language plain. Project managers and council officers scan quickly, so short sentences and clear headings help them find what they need.
